My name is Johan Vandenberghe, I live in Oud-Heverlee, nearby Leuven (Belgium),
and I am proud to present you some of my work.
How it started.
From childhood I was already busy with designing and inventing creative solutions for all kind of stuff.
When the time came to choose “a profession” I still wanted to do something with designing & creating.
That’s how I discovered Landscaping, it was an excellent way to design with nature & architectural elements.
The “before – after” idea & the challenge to everytime, again and again, creating new and personalised designs made it for me very attractive.
Besides landscaping, I also followed several artistic courses such as lithography, airbrush , acrylic painting & silikscreen.
But nothing inspires me more than Photography...
Some years ago Photography came like a coincidence in my life, and since then I am completely sold to my new passion...
The way how reality is reflecting through the lence, to be surprised by the appearance of the result, the non-stop learning process (which keeps it interesting) and the possibilities to use the images for other artistic work, all this gives me an immense satisfaction.
Working with or without colors, looking for the perfect angle, playing with the focus & different compositions are just some of the things that make it infinitely fascinating.
Having an eye for details and looking towards a subject in a different way is what I learned through my landscaping experience.
Photography gives me also the opportunity to travel & discover the world, meeting interesting people and share the results of all that.
